A few months back, Honda America announced that it is going to reintroduce the Honda Civic Hybrid in the US, and now the company has revealed the first look of the car, which is also the debut of the 2025 Civic facelift. The company will roll out this one across the model lineup next year. The current Honda Civic was launched in 2021, which means it is now three years old, and it was time for some minor changes in the sedan.
American Honda unveils the new facelift in its 2024 business outlook release. As per details, north America will get a Civic Hybrid for both sedan and hatchback body styles, while the electrified variant will comprise about 40% of the Civic sales after its launch. Notably, the facelift was displayed earlier as it matches the Civic RS Prototype shown in Tokyo Salon 2024.
Changes in 2025 Honda Civic
There are some minor but impactful changes in the new 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid “Sport Touring.”
- A thicker front grille as honeycomb mesh replaces the current lines, matching the lower grille
- New 7-spoke 2-tone alloy wheels
- Updated bumper design
- Revised smoked LED tail lamps
The company hasn’t released any interior image as it is expected that it would largely remain intact. Honda has also said that the new Civic will get “feature enhancements,” which could mean an updated infotainment system from the new Honda Accord, among other things. In the past, Honda facelifts also had mechanical upgrades for the sport Si and Type R, so, let’s keep our fingers crossed and wait for the official launch of the facelift.
As per reports, new Honda Civic Hybrid will come with 1.5L gasoline unit replacing a 2.0 one, which is similar to the power in the previous Civic-based Insight, discontinued in 2022.
The new trim will be available for sale in North America by the end of this year and will be available in other global markets in 2025.
