Suzuki is preparing to launch the 9th generation of its famous model Alto in October.

The auto manufacturer will be unveiling the 9th generation of Alto that was first introduced globally in October 1979. The Japanese auto-giant will also mark the 40th anniversary of this particular model at the launch of the 9th generation later this year. The all-new Suzuki Alto will most probably be built on the latest manufacturing platform which at the moment outperforms all the hatchbacks produced globally by Suzuki.

The Japanese auto manufacturer is currently producing the 8th generation of Suzuki Alto which made its worldwide debut in 2014. The current model of Alto has completed its 5 years successfully. Suzuki Alto has always been a famous and most anticipated model around the world. The current model of Alto has a 658cc 3-cylinder VVT engine under the hood. It is powered by three types of transmissions; a 5-speed manual, 5-speed semi-automatic, and a CVT gearbox model. There is another variant of Alto that comes equipped with ENE-charge hybrid system which is coupled with the latest features such as engine auto-idling and regenerative braking. It is worthy to mention here that these are the variants of Alto produced globally by Suzuki since 2014.

Suzuki is gearing up to launch the next generation of Alto as a 2020 model which will go on sale after its debut. On the other hand, Pak Suzuki is all set to launch the 8th generation of Alto somewhere during March and April 2019. Pak Suzuki has maintained its tradition of introducing cars that are already discontinued globally. However, it would still be much-anticipated launch considering the decision of Pak Suzuki to shut down production of Mehran. The 660cc Alto will make its debut in both manual and automatic variants in Pakistan. The price of the all-new Alto will be somewhere in between 0.9-1 million. The hatchback will be a direct competitor of 800cc United Bravo that is still paving its way into the automobile market of Pakistan. With the lifting of a ban on non-filers on the purchase of new locally manufactured cars of up to 1300cc, the ground is set for Alto to hit the high in demand market with booming sales.
