What to Expect from Hyundai Ioniq Official Unveiling Today in Lahore

Hyundai-Nishat Motors will unveil the new addition to their family – Hyundai Ioniq, at Nishat Emporium Mall, Lahore, today.

It is imperative to mention here that the unveiled unit will not be released in the market, however, the company will launch the facelift of Ioniq in the near future. And it is also quite possible that Hyundai ship different trims of the car in the local market.

Hyundai lovers would know that Ioniq is a compact, hybrid hatchback, which takes pride in offering cool features and fuel efficiency. A compact, 5-door hatchback, Hyundai Ioniq is often called “Hyundai’s Pruis.”

Ioniq Hybrid Specifications

Internationally, the hatchback comes with 1.6L Naturally Aspirated Atkinson-Cycle Inline-4 engine coupled with a 6-speed dual clutch transmission that makes 104 hp and 265 Nm of torque. Due to it being a hybrid, the electric motor adds more hp and both the engine and electric motor produce 141 HP combined. It is important to note here that the company claims that the fuel economy of the car is 25 litres per kilometre.

Ioniq comes with 7 SRS airbags, front and rear disc brakes, back view camera, parking sensors and engine immobilizer.

Price

The car will be launched in a couple of months and at this time, its price can only be guesstimated. We believe that Hyundai Ioniq will cost north of Rs. 4 to 5 million. In India, this car is yet to be launched. Its expected launch there is in January 2020 and its expected price is anywhere from  INR 20-25 lakhs.
