There are those who love their cars; then there are people like Qi from Baoding city in Hebei province in Noth China whose dying wish was to be buried with his car. The social media is abuzz with the news and the subsequent video footage of a car being lowered in a grave with the help of an excavator.

Qi asked his relatives to bury him in his beloved silver Hyundai Sonata. The video of the Sonata-burial first surfaced on Weibo, the Chinese social media platform. In the video, you can see the car hanging by ropes and being lowered in a massive car-sized grave.
On the friends of Mr Qi said in a statement,
“It was in his will, which said his corpse didn’t need a coffin but to use his car to bury him. He has liked cars since he was young.”
