A few months ago; I'd occasionally feel heart tremors and chest pains, sometimes quite severe. And during these episodes; my BP would shoot to 180+. It was agonizing.
Tested cholesterol level (Full lipid test); but everything was normal.
My doctor prescribed Atenolol; a beta-blocker and told me that I've to take it for the rest of my life, to avoid stroke. But after using it for a month; I noticed a dramatically reduced sex drive. Googled it and it turns out; Atenolol may cause impotence.
So, I slowly reduced the dosage and started exercising, reduced my calorie intake and started avoiding unsaturated and trans fats like a plague.
And now, I don't take Atenolol anymore and yet my heart never bothers me! And all I do is walk briskly for 30 minutes for ~5 days a week!
In conclusion; my life too DRAMATICALLY improved after eating non-oily foods and doing some brisk walking! And I've also lost 5 kilos in just two months!
And metabolism is on the boil too, like it used to be back when I was 12! Whatever I eat; it digests without a problem.
